Iran's military claims it struck U.S. bases in the Gulf. The attacks reportedly hit sites in Bahrain, Jordan, and Kuwait. Tehran named the operation "Nasr 2." No independent source has confirmed damage or casualties.
The strikes come after five months of conflict. Fighting between the U.S. and Iran began in February. U.S. Central Command carried out strikes on Iranian sites hours earlier. Separately, the Pentagon revised its official casualty count this week. The death toll for U.S. troops dropped from 18 to 14. Officials removed four names from the list:

CENTCOM has stayed silent since Iran's announcement. No U.S. agency has confirmed the extent of any damage. The Pentagon has not detailed how the toll revision happened. Independent verification of both claims remains pending.
